Mosaic Management in Happy Valley, OR is seeking a Cook to join our kitchen team. Prepare and serve meals according to established menus, maintain safety, and ensure timely service to residents.

You will accommodate dietary needs, present food attractively, assist with plating during peak times, and help keep the kitchen clean per sanitation standards. A high school diploma and 1+ year kitchen experience are required; ServSafe or equivalent certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of cook experience in healthcare, senior living, or hospitality.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.
• Ability to prepare a variety of foods skillfully and efficiently.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift 40-50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Prior experience with therapeutic or specialized diets is a plus.
• ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to established menus, recipes, and portion standards.
• Ensure meals are prepared safely, on time, and at proper serving temperatures.
• Accommodate resident dietary needs, including special diets, allergies, and texture modifications.
• Present food attractively and consistently, following Mosaic dining standards.
• Assist with plating, garnishing, and serving during peak dining times.
• Provide courteous, respectful, and personalized service to residents and guests, ensuring an exceptional dining experience.
• Kitchen cleanliness and sanitation: clean and maintain kitchen, prep areas, equipment, and dining spaces.
