Job summary

Westminster Communities of Florida is seeking a Senior Director of Construction to lead and coordinate multi-project initiatives for senior living communities. The role requires extensive experience in ground-up construction, renovations of operating facilities, and managing complex schedules, budgets, and teams.

The candidate will oversee pre-construction, bidding, contracts, and procurement, while ensuring compliance with local codes, timelines, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years in construction-related roles, with multiple projects led as a Project Manager or equivalent.
• Preferred experience includes green construction, FF&E coordination, building controls, healthcare construction, and renovations/additions to operational facilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary representative for assigned construction projects through pre-construction and construction phases; project values may range from $25,000 to over $30 million.
• Oversee administrative and technical management of projects, including schedules, budgets, and cost controls.
• Supervise project managers and consultants, ensuring alignment with goals and standards.
• Manage pre-construction planning, bidding, contract administration, change orders, procurement, scheduling, budgeting, and delivery.
