Job summary

Clarendale of Algonquin is recruiting a hospitality-focused Chef/Cook to join our culinary team, preparing high-quality meals for residents, families and guests seven days a week in a warm, community-focused setting. The role supports standard kitchen operations from 6:00am-2:00pm or 11:00am-7:00pm, with weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce food options from our menu in a manner compliant with required nutritional/dietary criteria.
• Correctly prepare meals for residents with dietary restrictions, following our policies and procedures.
• Exemplify community standards of cleanliness, sanitation and organization in the workspace and with equipment.
• Meet food quality, timeliness, appearance and presentation standards at all times.
• Interact with residents periodically to gather feedback about meal quality/temperature/appearance and share feedback with culinary team to support continuous improvement.
• Represent the community in a warm and inviting manner with colleagues, residents, families and tours.
