Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living is seeking a Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to join our care team in Lawrence, KS. You will administer medications, support daily living activities, and maintain accurate documentation to ensure high-quality resident care.

Under the Director of Nursing, you will monitor residents, report changes promptly, and collaborate with physicians, families, and supervisors to maintain safety and independence for residents in a person-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current and active state-approved medication aide/technician certification required.
• Insulin certification preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care services including medicine distribution per care plan.
• Observe residents and report condition changes to physicians, health care proxies, and supervisors.
• Document observations and daily medication administration in MAR.
• Pass information to the next shift and ensure timely documentation by Resident Assistants.
• Monitor vital signs and blood glucose as assigned.
• Administer and document medications using the five rights.
• Support activities of daily living and resident safety.
