Job summary

The Ivy at Berkeley, managed by Oakmont Management Group, is seeking a Full-Time Class B Driver to safely operate community vehicles and assist residents during outings. Candidates must hold a Class B or Class C license with Passenger Endorsement, have 2+ years of driving experience with passengers, and pass background and health screenings.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have either a Class B or Class C license with Passenger Endorsement to drive the bus
• Prefer two years of experience driving a vehicle transporting people.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact with staff, residents and families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests (including TB tests).
• Vaccination and health protocols may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Operate community vehicles safely on outings, excursions, and activities.
• Assist with safe loading/unloading of residents and belongings.
• Follow all state and federal driving laws and vehicle inspections.
• Demonstrate safe driving practices and punctual transport of residents.
• Act as a member of the activity staff during outings and within the community.
• Maintain a safe environment for staff, residents, and guests; follow safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork with coworkers and other departments.
