Oakmont Senior Living in Novato seeks an Activity Assistant to organize, schedule, promote, facilitate, and direct activities and excursions that enhance residents' independence and quality of life.

This full-time role supports the Activity Director, recruits and manages volunteers, communicates effectively with residents and families, and maintains a safe environment while promoting teamwork across the community.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer one year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Able to operate a PC and use MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in creating a rewarding social atmosphere and promote resident participation.
• Develop, recruit, manage and schedule Community Volunteers as needed.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
• Maintain a safe environment following established safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Foster teamwork across departments.
