Oakmont Senior Living in San Francisco, CA is seeking an Activity Assistant to organize, schedule, promote and direct engaging activities and excursions for residents, aimed at enhancing independence and quality of life.

You will assist the Activity Director, recruit and manage volunteers, and foster a warm, inclusive social atmosphere. Must be 18+, HS diploma, and experience with seniors; valid driver license and MS Office skills preferred; background checks and health screenings required.

Qualifikationen

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer one year experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Requires valid Class C license, with preference for Class B or Class C with Passenger Endorsement.
• Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs.
• Must pass criminal background check and health screening tests, including TB tests.
• Vaccination/testing and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

• Assist the Activity Director in creating a lively social atmosphere and promote resident participation through scheduled activities, excursions, events, speakers, movies, exercise, clubs, and educational classes.
• Develop, recruit, manage and schedule community volunteers as requested.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, coworkers and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following safety standards.
• Able to drive community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork across departments and with coworkers.
