Job summary

Oakmont Management Group is seeking an enthusiastic Activity Assistant in Mission Viejo, CA to organize and promote engaging activities for residents, coordinate excursions, and support the Activity Director in creating a vibrant social calendar.

You will recruit volunteers, communicate with residents and families, ensure safety, and help maintain a welcoming culture while working with a team across departments. This role requires 18+ years old, a high school diploma, and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer 1 year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Requires Class C license, preferably Class B with Passenger Endorsement.
• Able to operate a PC and be proficient in MS Office programs.
• Must pass Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests.
• Vaccination/health surveillance may be required per policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in providing an engaging social atmosphere and promote resident participation through activities, excursions, events, and clubs.
• Develop, recruit, manage and schedule Community Volunteers as needed.
• Communicate effectively and maintain a polite, friendly demeanor with residents, families, visitors, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests following safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with other departments.
