Oakmont of Valencia is seeking an Activity Assistant to help organize, schedule, promote, and direct engaging activities for residents, enhancing independence and quality of life in a senior living community.

The role supports the Activity Director, may involve driving community vehicles, and requires a minimum of 18 years of age with a high school diploma. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Competenze

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer one (1) year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Requires current Class C license with Passenger Endorsement.
• Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• Vaccination and health screening/testing and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

• Assist the Activity Director in providing an engaging social atmosphere and promote resident participation through scheduled activities and events.
• Develop, recruit, manage and schedule Community Volunteers as needed.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, staff and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperation with coworkers and other departments.
