Job summary

Lantern Hill by Erickson Senior Living is seeking an Activity Program Coordinator to design, lead and evaluate programs for residents across Continuing Care. You’ll stimulate physical, intellectual, social, and emotional well-being in both individual rooms and common areas.

You will collaborate with staff, families and volunteers, supervise activities, and tailor plans to residents’ changing needs. A flexible schedule including weekends and evenings is required.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience as an Activities Staff with supervisory experience or 3 years as a Programming Assistant is required.
• Experience leading groups of people with varying levels of physical and cognitive independence, and experience with the elderly is required.
• Flexible work schedule including weekends and evenings is required.
• Certified or eligible for certification (AAC or CTRS – four year degree) preferred.
• APC (Activities Professional Certificate) is preferred.
• Flexible with schedule, available to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Uses independent judgment to design, plan and facilitate programs for individuals and groups.
• Escorts and ensures safety of residents on group trips and excursions.
• Collaborates with staff, management, volunteers, and families to deliver programs.
• Assesses residents’ needs to provide beneficial and enjoyable activities.
• Implements and leads group and individual activities in various settings.
• Maintains a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings as required.
• Coordinates between independent living and continuing care.
