Job summary

Oak Park Place in Oak Creek, WI is seeking an Activity Assistant to plan, organize and implement recreational and social events that enhance resident well-being and promote regular socialization and activity. Shifts run 8:00am-4:30pm and 9:30am-6:00pm with every other weekend required.

A positive attitude and a willingness to learn are essential; prior elderly-care or activities experience is preferred. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Previous experience working with the elderly preferred.
• Previous experience in an activity’s role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement recreational and social events to enhance well-being of residents.
• Organize, lead, and promote interest in recreational activities, such as arts, crafts, and games.
• Generate positivity and encourage resident participation.
• Work with all departments to meet resident needs.
• Assess needs and interests to plan activities accordingly.
