Job summary

Oak Park Place seeks an Activity Assistant to plan, organize, and implement recreational and social events for residents. You will work under the Activity Director to create a well-balanced program that promotes socialization and physical activity.

The role emphasizes leading arts, crafts, games, and group activities, fostering a positive environment, and coordinating with other departments to address resident needs. Prior eldercare or activities experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Previous experience working with the elderly preferred.
• Previous experience in an activity's role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Working under the direction of the Activity Director you will help organize, plan, and execute a well-balanced activity program.
• Organize, lead, and promote interest in recreational activities, such as arts, crafts, and games.
• Generate positivity and encourage resident participation.
• Work with all departments to ensure resident needs are being met.
• Assess the needs and interests of individuals and groups and plan activities accordingly.
