Job summary

Oakmont Management Group leads premier senior living communities and seeks an Activity Assistant to organize social activities, excursions, and events. The role promotes independence and quality of life for residents on a California campus.

Responsibilities include supporting the Activity Director, recruiting volunteers, and ensuring safety and teamwork across departments. The position requires strong communication, computer skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer 1 year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Requires valid driver’s license (Class C) with Passenger Endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in providing a rewarding social atmosphere and promote resident participation.
• Develop, recruit, manage and schedule Community Volunteers as requested.
• Communicate effectively and display tact with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following established safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with staff and departments.
