Oakmont Management Group is seeking an Activities Assistant for our Santa Clara community to support the Activity Director in creating a vibrant, resident‑centered social calendar. You will help organize events, recruit volunteers, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for residents and families.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer one (1) year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Requires current Class C license, prefer either a Class B or Class C license with Passenger Endorsement.
• Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB tests.
• May be required to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and wear PPE to prevent spread of communicable diseases.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in providing an interesting, creative, and rewarding social atmosphere and promote resident participation through regularly scheduled high‑quality activities, excursions, events, guest speakers, movie showings, exercise sessions, clubs, games, and educational classes.
• Develop, recruit, manage and schedule Community Volunteers.
• Communicate effectively and display tact and friendliness with residents, families, visitors, co‑workers, and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co‑workers and other departments.
