Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living is seeking an Activity Assistant to support Resident Programs by planning and executing diverse activities that engage residents physically and socially. You will coordinate transportation as needed and assist the Program Director to ensure daily schedules meet state requirements.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and prior senior living activity experience; strong computer skills and healthcare knowledge are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college experience preferred but not required.
• Prior senior living experience preferred.
• Two years’ activities experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills and general healthcare knowledge.
• Clear and insurable driving record; valid driver's license; willing to drive a passenger van.

Responsibilities

• Assist Resident Programs with planning, developing, and preparing a variety of activities and events.
• Conduct transportation for residents, including medical transport.
• Maintain knowledge of local communities and events to enrich activity schedules.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere and promote teamwork among staff.
• Monitor quality and adjust activities as needed; perform other duties as assigned.
