Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living at South Boston is seeking an Activity Assistant to support the Resident Programs team in planning and executing a variety of engaging activities for residents. This role includes transporting residents and assisting the Program Director as needed, ensuring activities are safe, enjoyable, and compliant with state requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college experience preferred but not required.
• Two years’ experience in activities preferred.
• Strong computer skills and general healthcare knowledge are desired.
• Must have a clear, insurable driving record, valid driver's license, and willingness to drive a passenger van.

Responsibilities

• Assist Resident Programs team in planning, developing, and preparing activities and events.
• Conduct transportation for residents, including medical transportation when needed.
• Maintain knowledge of community events and services to inform activity schedules.
• Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere and promote teamwork among staff.
• Monitor activities and adjust quality and consistency as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
