Oakmont Senior Living in California seeks an Activity Assistant/Concierge to organize and lead activities for residents and provide exceptional guest services. The role includes coordinating volunteers, driving community vehicles, and maintaining safety and order within the community.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer 1 year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Requires current Class C license, preferably Class B or Class C with Passenger Endorsement.
• Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB tests.
• Vaccination, daily screening, surveillance testing, and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director by organizing, scheduling, promoting, facilitating, and directing activities and excursions to enhance residents’ independence and quality of life.
• Develop, recruit, manage, and schedule Community Volunteers as needed.
• Communicate effectively and display tact with residents, families, visitors, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests, following safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with coworkers and other departments.
• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, guests, and visitors; answer multi-line telephone and direct calls.
• Monitor the Emergency Alert System and respond promptly to every call.
• Process incoming and outgoing mail and manage the business center.
• Maintain safety and security and support administrative staff with clerical tasks.
• Support coordination of activities and guest services to enhance experiences.

Education
