Sterling Healthcare Management, LLC is seeking an energetic Activity Aide to bring joy, purpose, and connection to residents. You will plan and lead group and individual activities, support special events, and build meaningful relationships with residents in our facility.

Responsibilities include leading arts, crafts, music, games, and exercise programs, adapting activities for memory care needs, and documenting participation. A warm, patient, and enthusiastic personality is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience with elderly or memory care populations preferred.
• Warm, patient, and enthusiastic personality.
• Creative, energetic, and able to engage a room.
• Ability to work weekdays and rotating weekends.
• Activity professional certification a plus - not required.
• CNA License preferred- not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist with group activities including arts and crafts, music, games, and exercise programs
• Provide one-on-one activities for residents who cannot attend group programs
• Adapt activities for residents with dementia, memory impairment, or physical limitations
• Set up, facilitate, and clean up activity spaces before and after each program
• Assist with special events, holiday celebrations, and themed dining programs
• Decorate the facility for seasons and holidays to create a warm environment
• Document resident participation accurately in the activity record
• Escort and assist residents to and from activity programs safely
• Support volunteers and community visitors during programs
• Report any resident behavioral changes or concerns to the nurse
