Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Programming/Activity Assistant to organize and implement programs for residents, addressing their psychological, social, intellectual, physical, and spiritual needs within a caring environment.

The role supports the Activity Director in planning and delivering engaging activities, promoting self-esteem and well-being for residents across a seven-day schedule.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of aging and disability issues is required.
• Training and knowledge in recreational activities.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s and related dementias.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality.

Responsabilités

• Assist in developing and implementing a seven-day-a-week activity program.
• Lead one-on-one, small group and large group activities according to schedule.
• Support independent activity pursuits and encourage resident participation.
• Understand residents’ backgrounds and abilities to tailor activities.
• Monitor residents’ condition and behavior and report changes to the Harbor Care Director.
• Engage residents to participate in programming and activities.
• Supervise groups during excursions and ensure safety at all times.
• Maintain a positive and nurturing environment for all residents.
