Benchmark Senior Living in Connecticut seeks a compassionate Programming/Activity Assistant to plan and implement a seven-day activity program that addresses residents’ psychological, intellectual, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs in a caring environment. You will support the Activity Director, lead one-on-one and group activities, and tailor programming to residents’ abilities.

A high school diploma or higher, along with training in recreational activities and dementia

Qualifikationen

• Requires training and knowledge in recreational activities.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s and related dementias is required.
• Maintains confidentiality of residents, staff, and community.

Aufgaben

• Develop and implement an engaging seven-day-a-week activity program.
• Lead one-on-one, small group and large group activities per schedule.
• Support independent activities for residents and guide in groups.
• Frame care activities around residents’ abilities and needs.
• Know residents’ backgrounds and participation preferences.
• Encourage residents to participate in programming.
• Communicate changes in residents’ conditions to the Harbor Care Director.
• Remain with the group during excursions.
