Job summary

Liberty Senior Living in Rock Hill, SC seeks an experienced Activities Assistant for full-time daytime hours. You will plan and lead resident activities, promote social engagement, and support religious and leisure programs in a memory-care/assisted-living setting.

Responsibilities include coordinating newsletters, activity calendars, and volunteer events, assisting with transport, and contributing to care planning and progress notes. CDL preferred; driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience as Activities Assistant and/or in Long Term Care/Memory Care/Assisted Living is preferred.
• Certification as an Activities Professional per governing regulations is preferred.
• Able to work with diverse residents and coordinate with staff.
• Good reading, writing, and understanding of English.

Responsibilities

• Assists in planning, promoting, and leading individual and group activities based on residents' needs and interests.
• Encourages social communication through group activities.
• Assists residents with participation in religious programs and leisure activities.
• Assists with monthly newsletter and activities calendar.
• Assists in transporting residents to and from activity programs.
• Assists with admissions assessments, clinical responsibilities, MDS, care plans and progress notes per documentation policies.
• Facilitates community interaction programs.
• Assists with maintenance, storage, and use of activities supplies.
