Job summary

Liberty Healthcare Management, Louisburg Health & Rehab Center, Louisburg, NC, is seeking an experienced Activities Director for a Full Time, Day shift. You will plan, promote, and lead resident activities, coordinate scheduling, and supervise volunteers to enrich daily life for residents.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with a Recreational Therapy degree preferred, NC licensure or certification eligibility, strong computer skills, and a commitment to teamwork in a busy long-term

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Degree in Recreational Therapy preferred.
• Eligible for NC license as an occupational or recreation therapist or for NC Certification as a recreation therapist or completion of a 36-hour course.
• Experience as Activities Director or in long-term care preferred.
• Strong computer skills and ability to multitask with residents and staff.
• Valid NC Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Plans, promotes, and leads individual and group activities based on residents' needs and interests.
• Informs new patients and families about the Activity Program of the Facility and unit.
• Completes an Activities Assessment for each designated resident.
• Conducts recreational activities, indoor and outdoor.
• Conducts educational, creative, expressive activities and exercise.
• Supervises scheduling and posting of events and programs; encourages participation.
• Supervises Volunteer Program and training of volunteers.
