Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Prospect Heights, IL is seeking an Activities Assistant to lead daily activities, assist with enrichment programs, and support resident participation. You’ll help prepare calendars and newsletters, escort residents, and maintain organized spaces and supplies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to lead small group activities with residents.
• Valid driver’s license is a plus.
• Senior living experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily activities, events, and enrichment programs for residents.
• Encourage and support resident participation in activities.
• Help prepare activity calendars and newsletters.
• Escort residents to and from programs as needed.
• Maintain organized activity spaces and supplies.
• Support volunteer engagement and community partnerships.
• Document participation per regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor resident engagement and communicate changes as needed.
