Job summary

Discovery Village at Boynton Beach, part of Discovery Senior Living, is seeking an Activities & Events Coordinator to enrich residents' lives and foster meaningful connections. You will support program development, oversee events, and ensure a welcoming community environment for seniors.

The role emphasizes planning diverse activities, coordinating programs from setup to cleanup, and partnering with residents to create joyful experiences that address physical, cognitive, social, and emotional

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience preferred in assisted living, long-term care, or senior population exposure.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, in the residents' primary language.
• Ability to inspire, encourage, and motivate older adults.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic computer applications.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to collaborate and build consensus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and overseeing a diverse calendar of resident activities and events that support physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
• Coordinate and lead community programs, ensuring seamless execution from set-up through clean-up.
• Partner with team members and residents to create meaningful experiences that promote engagement and joy.
• Encourage resident participation, adapting activities to meet a variety of interests and abilities.
• Maintain accurate scheduling and organization of events, ensuring timely communication and preparation.
• Other duties as assigned.
