Job summary

Discovery Senior Living is seeking an Activities & Events Coordinator to enrich residents' lives by planning and overseeing a varied calendar of activities and events. You will foster engagement, coordinate programs from setup to takedown, and collaborate with staff and residents to create meaningful experiences that bring joy to the community.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and a passion for supporting older adults.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in assisted living or senior services preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication in residents' primary language.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Creative program development and event coordination.
• Excellent organizational and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and overseeing a diverse calendar of resident activities and events that support well-being.
• Coordinate and lead community programs from set-up through clean-up.
• Partner with team members and residents to create meaningful experiences that promote engagement and joy.
• Encourage resident participation and adapt activities to diverse interests and abilities.
• Maintain accurate scheduling and organization of events and ensure timely communication.
