Discovery Senior Living is seeking an Activities & Events Coordinator to enrich residents' lives, create meaningful connections, and make a difference every day.

You’ll help develop and oversee resident services, foster resident engagement, and ensure events run smoothly in a warm, welcoming community.

This role requires an Associate’s Degree or equivalent, 1–3 years in assisted living or related senior experiences, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience preferred in assisted living, long-term care, or exposure to the senior population.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, speaking the primary language of the residents.
• Ability to inspire, encourage, and motivate older adults.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic computer applications.
• Creativity in program development and event coordination with excellent organizational skills and ability to collaborate.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and overseeing a diverse calendar of resident activities and events supporting physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
• Coordinate and lead community programs, ensuring seamless execution from setup through cleanup.
• Partner with team members and residents to create meaningful experiences that promote engagement and joy.
• Encourage resident participation, adapting activities to meet various interests and abilities.
• Maintain accurate scheduling and organization of events, ensuring timely communication and preparation.
• Other duties as assigned.
