Job summary

Brightwater Senior Living of Highland is seeking an enthusiastic Engagement Assistant to support activity programs and enrich resident life. You will assist with planning, implementing, and promoting activities that foster socialization, recreation, wellness, and community involvement for our residents.

The role includes coordinating volunteers, facilitating transportation, and promoting a welcoming, active environment while maintaining confidentiality and clear records.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Maintain any certifications as required by state or provincial regulations.
• Ability to obtain authorization from Brightwater to drive company vehicles.
• Excellent interpersonal, writing and communications skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to take direction, meet timelines and work on a multitude of projects at one time.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, implementing, and promoting activities to enhance quality of life for all residents.
• Facilitate community involvement through volunteerism.
• Safely transport residents in community bus or another vehicle according to schedule.
• Coordinate Resident Council meetings and maintain records of resident participation.
• Assist with Social Engagement and Dining Engagement as part of engagement programs.
• Inform residents of daily activities and lead activities as required.
