Brighton Post Acute is seeking an Assistant Activities Director to plan, coordinate, and lead enrichment programs for Assisted Living and Memory Care residents. You will support scheduling, recruit volunteers, and build relationships with local schools and organizations.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, flexibility for evenings and weekends, and a passion for engaging residents in meaningful activities. Full-time with daily pay options available.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in senior living, recreation, activities, or related field.
• High school diploma; college degree preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate residents, staff, and volunteers.
• Knowledge of applicable state, federal regulations related to resident services.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Ability to obtain required state certifications or licenses (e.g., CDL for transportation).
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and events.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and leading activities and enrichment programs for Assisted Living and Memory Care residents.
• Support the Activities Director in maintaining a calendar of activities, events, and programs.
• Help recruit, coordinate, and support volunteers for resident engagement.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local schools, businesses, and organizations.
• Encourage resident participation by tailoring activities to interests and abilities.
• Support department operations, including preparation, documentation, supplies, and event coordination.
• Assist with supervising activity staff and volunteers to promote a positive team environment.
• Ensure activities comply with state and organizational regulations.
• Provide support during evenings, weekends, and special events as needed.
