Highland Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking an Activities Assistant to create engaging programs that enrich residents’ social, emotional, physical, and intellectual well‑being. This full‑time role offers a starting wage of $18 per hour.

You will document participation, plan activities, and collaborate with the care team while upholding our core values of Passion, Respect, and Excellence. Join a team committed to compassionate, resident‑centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year experience in activities, healthcare, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or related setting preferred.
• Experience working with seniors is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, engaging, and positive environment for residents.
• Document resident participation and engagement in activities.
• Promote residents' well-being through meaningful activities and interactions.
• Plan, develop, organize, and implement recreational and community programs.
• Build relationships and encourage participation based on individual interests and abilities.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support care goals.
• Observe and report changes in mood or participation to staff.
• Assist with preparing, decorating, and breaking down activities and events.
• Escort residents to and from activities and events.
• Complete administrative tasks and maintain program records.
