River Terrace Retirement Community in Bluffton, IN is seeking a dedicated Activities Director to join our skilled nursing facility. The role focuses on planning and directing activity programs to meet residents' emotional, recreational, social, and spiritual needs.

Responsibilities include scheduling, assessing resident needs, coordinating with nursing staff and families, coordinating monthly resident council meetings, and documenting activities in PCC to promote engagement and well-being.

Qualifications

• State-certified Activity Director required or preferred.
• NCCAP certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• COVID-19 vaccination required unless exemption is approved.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule movies, parties, games, projects, crafts, and field trips for residents.
• Identify and monitor residents' needs through interviews and consultations with residents and families.
• Encourage residents to engage in physical and educational activities.
• Coordinate with nursing staff to align activities with physicians' orders.
• Coordinate resident shopping requests and monthly resident council meetings.
• Document resident activities in PointClickCare (PCC).
• Develop engaging activities that promote social interaction and well-being.
