Brenden Gardens Senior Living in Illinois seeks an Activities Director to plan and implement activity programs that meet the diverse needs of residents as outlined in their care plans. The role requires a bachelor’s in recreation therapy or related field, licensure or registration where applicable, and prior LTC/healthcare program leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Fire and passion for working with seniors.
• Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy or related field with appropriate licensing/registration.
• Minimum 1 year as Activities Director in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting.
• Two years of social/recreational program experience in healthcare in past five years.
• Professional image in appearance and behavior; strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement a program of activity and leisure pursuits for residents.
• Address social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, educational and physical needs per care plans.
