The role emphasizes strong communication, event planning, and teamwork within a caring, resident-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed or registered by the State where practicing; qualifies for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or activities professional.
• Two years of experience in a social or recreational program is a plus.
• High school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and develop care plans to design activities that fit each guest’s needs.
• Offer activities that engage staff, volunteers and visitors.
• Assist with escorting guests to and from activities.
• Post monthly activity calendars.
• Manage Activities Assistants in facilitating guest engagement in activities.
