Job summary

Legacy Healthcare Management seeks a Certified Activities Director in Bingham Farms, MI to lead the Activity Department full-time. You will plan and direct activities, coordinate with nursing and medical staff, and ensure resident well-being through meaningful programs.

You will interview residents and families, develop care plans, and manage administrative tasks while participating in regulatory surveys. This role emphasizes collaboration, program development, and resident-centered activities

Qualifications

• Must have a certificate of completion for the Activity Director Course or a Bachelor's Degree equivalent.
• Experience in a social or recreation program within the last 5 years.
• Ability to coordinate with administration and staff to implement activity programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct the Activity Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations and policies.
• Develop and implement activity care plans and resident assessments.
• Interview residents and families in private settings.
• Complete administrative forms and reports and submit to the Administrator as required.
• Participate in facility surveys by government agencies.
• Ensure charted activity progress notes describe services and resident responses.
• Involve residents and families in planning objectives and goals for care planning.
• Coordinate with administration, medical, nursing, and other departments to plan activity programs.
• Arrange transportation for field trips when necessary.
• Maintain supply rooms for activity supplies and coordinate with other departments.
