Job summary

Westminster Place in Evanston, IL is seeking an Activities Coordinator to plan and lead engaging programs for residents in independent living. This position requires weekend and evening availability and offers an hourly wage based on years of experience.

You will develop wellness-centered activities, foster meaningful relationships, and collaborate with local organizations to enhance resident experiences and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a senior living community.
• Experience with audio-visual equipment preferred.
• Knowledge and experience planning and implementing programs and events.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate programs, events, and outings based on resident interests.
• Develop wellness-focused programming promoting involvement and self-esteem.
• Build relationships with community partners to expand programming.
• Collaborate with resident committees to create resident-driven activities.
• Encourage resident-led interest groups reflecting resident needs.
• Coordinate entertainment, supplies, venue setup, and dietary requests.
