Job summary

Anna Maria of Aurora is seeking an entry-level Activities Assistant to join our senior living campus on a flexible PRN schedule in Aurora, OH. You will lead and assist daily activities, coordinate group and one-on-one engagements, and help create programs that enhance residents' quality of life, social engagement, and emotional well-being.

The role includes working every third weekend (Sat and Sun) with opportunities to cover holidays and staff vacations, in a warm, home-like environment with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in activities, recreation, healthcare, or senior living is a plus.
• Previous experience with Dementia/Alzheimer's helpful but not necessary
• Open to candidates seeking entry-level healthcare, caregiver, or CNA-related experience
• Friendly, patient, and dependable
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Assist daily activities programs in a nursing home/senior living setting
• Lead and support group activities, games, crafts, music, and events
• Provide one-on-one engagement for residents
• Encourage participation in recreational and therapeutic activities
• Support activity planning and documentation
• Help coordinate holiday events, outings, and social programs
• Work with care team to support resident-centered care plans
