Job summary

Americare Senior Living is seeking an energetic Activity Assistant / Activity Coordinator to support resident engagement within our skilled nursing community. You’ll assist with planning, organizing, and leading recreational and therapeutic activity programs that promote socialization, independence, and overall quality of life.

Activities are delivered in accordance with individualized resident capabilities, needs, and interests while meeting applicable state and federal guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to transport residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, facilitating, and directing recreational activity programs
• Support resident engagement through group and one-on-one activities
• Adapt activities to meet individual resident abilities, interests, and care plans
• Encourage resident participation and social interaction
• Assist with special events, celebrations, and community outings
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members
• Maintain documentation related to resident participation as required

• Follow all facility, state, and federal guidelines related to resident engagement
