Job summary

Americare Senior Living seeks an energetic Activity Assistant / Activity Coordinator to support resident engagement within our skilled nursing community. You’ll plan, organize, and lead recreational and therapeutic activities that promote socialization, independence, and overall quality of life.

Activities are tailored to individual resident capabilities, needs, and interests while meeting state and federal guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Additional education related to activities, recreation, or life enrichment preferred but not required
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company requirements for transporting residents
• Compassionate, creative, and resident-focused approach

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, facilitating, and directing recreational activity programs
• Support resident engagement through group and one-on-one activities
• Adapt activities to meet individual resident abilities, interests, and care plans
• Encourage resident participation and social interaction
• Assist with special events, celebrations, and community outings
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members
• Maintain documentation related to resident participation as required

• Follow all facility, state, and federal guidelines related to resident engagement

Education
