Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Part-time Activities Assistant in Auburn, NE to enhance residents' daily living through engaging activities. The role supports nursing staff and transports residents as needed, while contributing to a warm, Christ-centered care environment.

Responsibilities include organizing monthly calendars, leading group or one-to-one activities, and ensuring safety and dignity. Prior experience in geriatrics and a CNA/CPR background are preferred; BLS may be required depending on

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in social services or creative activities preferred.
• Experience in geriatrics preferred.
• BLS certification required based on location; CPR training within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize activity programs to improve residents' quality of life.
• Assist with simple nursing procedures and transport residents to/from rooms.
• Maintain documentation and contribute to care planning and patient engagement.

Skills
