Westerly Rehab is seeking an Activities Assistant to join a caring team at our 106-bed facility in Westerly, RI. This full-time role focuses on engaging residents through meaningful programs that support social, emotional, physical, and intellectual well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in an Activities Department or healthcare setting preferred.
• Experience with seniors is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, engaging, and positive environment for residents.
• Document resident participation in activities and programs.
• Promote residents' social, physical, emotional, and intellectual well-being through activities.
• Assist in planning and implementing recreational, social, educational, and community programs.
• Build relationships with residents and encourage participation based on interests and abilities.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support resident care goals.
• Observe and report changes in moods, behaviors, or participation to team members.
• Assist with community outreach and marketing events.
• Complete required administrative tasks, including audits, reports, and program records.
• Help prepare, decorate, set up, and break down activities and events.
