Job summary

National Health Care Associates' Evergreen Center for Health & Rehabilitation seeks an Activities Assistant to plan and implement a variety of recreational activities for residents. You will engage seniors in arts, crafts, music, and games, and help develop a monthly activities calendar with the Activities Director.

The role emphasizes compassion, teamwork, and the ability to work with residents needing support. Training is provided, with focus on creating a positive, meaningful environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in long-term care or senior living preferred but not required.
• Training provided for new hires.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a variety of activities for residents.
• Engage residents in arts and crafts, games, and music.
• Work with Activities Director to create a monthly calendar.
• Provide one-on-one support for residents needing help.
• Foster community and social interaction among residents.
• Document resident participation records.
