Job summary

Riverside, an affiliate of National Health Care Associates, is located at 745 Main Street, East Hartford, CT 06108. We seek an Activities Assistant to plan and implement recreational and therapeutic activities for our residents, fostering a warm and engaging environment.

You will collaborate with the Activities Director to create a monthly calendar, lead arts and crafts, games, and music activities, and provide one-on-one support as needed. Join a team dedicated to compassion and excellence.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Long-Term Care or senior living preferred; training provided.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Compassionate and empathetic by nature.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and executing a diverse range of activities for residents
• Engage residents in arts and crafts, games, music, and other recreational programs
• Collaborate with the Activities Director to develop and implement a monthly activities calendar
• Provide one-on-one support for residents who may need additional assistance
• Foster a sense of community and social interaction among residents
• Document and maintain records of residents' participation in activities
