Job summary

National Health Care Associates invites you to join Riverside as an Activities Assistant at our East Hartford location. You will plan and implement recreational and therapeutic activities, fostering a lively atmosphere for residents and supporting the Activities Director with monthly calendars.

The role emphasizes compassion, teamwork, and strong communication to enhance resident well-being and social interaction. Training is provided, with opportunities for growth within the organization.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Long-Term Care or senior living setting is preferred but not required - training will be provided
• Compassionate and empathetic nature
• Interest in the therapeutic needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Engage residents in arts and crafts, games, music, and other recreational programs
