Job summary

Aperion Care Chicago Heights is seeking an Activity Assistant/Aide to support planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs in line with each resident's care plan. You will work within the Activities Department to foster warmth, respect, and engagement for residents in a caring facility.

You will observe resident participation, assist in preparing activity spaces, coordinate with other departments, and help maintain accurate records

Qualifications

• Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department is preferred.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition & enthusiasm.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing & evaluating the activity programs for the Activities Department.
• Observe resident attendance, mood, behavior, and involvement to evaluate activity progress.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information and follow facility guidelines.
