Job summary

Allure in Illinois seeks an Activity Assistant/Aide to assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational and social programs for residents, aligned with care plans and supervisory direction.

Responsibilities include coordinating with departments, preparing activity spaces, and maintaining accurate progress notes while supporting residents' physical, social, and emotional well-being.

Qualifications

• Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department is preferred.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition & enthusiasm.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing & evaluating activity programs for the Activities Department.
• Observe resident attendance, mood, behavior, and involvement and document progress.
• Develop and maintain good rapport with other departments to ensure activities proceed smoothly.
• Prepare activity rooms and supply needs; recommend equipment and supplies.
• Follow the care plan when providing daily activities for residents.
