Job summary

Good Samaritan in Albion, NE is seeking a Part-time Activities Assistant to enhance residents' quality of life with meaningful activities, both one-on-one and in groups.

You will plan the monthly activity calendar, coordinate with staff, and support meal service, housekeeping and daily living needs as required.

A high school diploma is preferred; CPR/BLS training may be required; benefits include health, dental, vision, a 401(k), and a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in social services or creative activities are preferred. Experience in geriatrics preferred.
• Preferred current Certified Nurses Assistant (CNA) certification or currently enrolled as a student in a healthcare related program preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required based on location. Depending on location, all new employees will attend CPR training, and must be certified within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Strives to improve the quality of life for residents by providing appropriate activities and interventions.
• Administers the monthly activity calendar and coordinates group and one-on-one activities.
• May assist with meal service, dining room cleanup, housekeeping and laundry duties as assigned.
