Job summary

Good Samaritan in Windsor, CO is seeking an Activities Coordinator to lead planning and development of activity programming for residents in a not-for-profit, Christian environment. The role includes creating programs aligned with care plans and coordinating with staff to ensure safety and meaningful engagement.

The position requires a high school diploma, and while not mandatory, two years in this field and CNA/BLS certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Two years’ experience in this field preferred.
• Knowledge of working with a wide variety of resident demographics.
• Experience in social services, creative activities or long term care desired.
• Certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or activities professional by a recognized accrediting body preferred.
• Current Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification or enrolled in a healthcare program preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.
• Driver eligibility as per Sanford Driving Policy.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and development of activity programming.
• Ensure activities are led safely by staff.
• Create and plan activities around resident care plans.
• Assess audience needs and develop programs.
• Administer the monthly activity calendar.
• Engage residents with group or one-on-one activities.
