Job summary

Rocky Mountain Care-Logan in Logan, UT seeks an Activities Aide for part-time hours to support the Activities Director in planning and coordinating daily and monthly activities. You will help residents participate and promote engagement, with a focus on accessibility and inclusivity.

Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to obtain TRT certification if needed.

Qualifications

• Current/ Active Food Handlers Permit
• Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older
• TRT Class and License with in 9 months of hire if not already obtained.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• The Activities Aide will assist the Activities Director in creating a monthly calendar of activities written in large print and posted in a prominent location that is visible to residents and visitors.
• The Activities Aide will ensure that a copy of the monthly calendar of activities is placed in each resident’s room.
• The Activities Aide will interview residents or family members to obtain activity preferences.
• The Activities Aide will coordinate and assist residents in getting to activity locations within the facility.
• The Activities Aide will assist in conducting scheduled activities to promote physical, social, and mental well-being of residents.
• The Activities Aide will document resident activity program attendance and ensure charted notes describe services and resident response.
• The Activities Aide will observe resident mood and involvement and report changes to the Activities Director.
• The Activities Aide will involve residents and families in planning activities when possible.
• The Activities Aide will assist with in-room activities for residents needing one-on-one visits.
• The Activities Aide will coordinate offsite field trips and transportation needs as necessary.
