Job summary

Rose View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a friendly, energetic, and compassionate Activities Aide to join our team and help enrich the lives of our residents every day.

You will assist the Activities Director in planning, organizing, and leading recreational programs that promote physical activity, mental stimulation, emotional well-being, and meaningful connections for our residents in our skilled nursing and rehabilitation environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in activities, recreation, long-term care, or working with seniors preferred.
• Friendly, patient, and outgoing personality with a genuine passion for working with older adults.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and a flexible attitude.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing daily, weekly, and monthly activities (games, crafts, music, outings, exercise, holidays).
• Set up and clean activity areas before and after programs.
• Transport and escort residents to activities using safe techniques (wheelchairs, walkers).
• Encourage participation and provide one-on-one engagement.
• Document resident participation and responses to activities.
• Maintain activity supplies and coordinate with nursing/therapy teams to support resident-centered care.
• Create a positive, joyful atmosphere that enhances residents' quality of life.
