Job summary

Western States Lodging & Management is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to create engaging experiences for residents in Utah. You will take ownership of activity planning, lead programs independently, and collaborate with residents and the care team to reflect individual interests and needs.

You will help develop calendars, organize spaces and supplies, and support outings while promoting safety, dignity, and inclusion.

Qualifications

1-3 years of experience in life enrichment, recreation, activities, senior living, hospitality, customer service, or related field.
Current CPR certification if required by the state.
Experience leading or assisting with group activities and programs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and execute recreational, social, cultural, and religious activities.
Lead selected activities independently (e.g., exercise classes, music sessions, crafts).
Assist Recreation Director with monthly activity calendars.
Engage residents to learn interests, preferences, abilities, and desired activities.
Collaborate with care team to integrate activities into resident care plans.
Prepare activity spaces, organize supplies, and ensure programs are ready.
Provide encouragement and promote safety, dignity, and inclusion during activities.
Assist with outings and transportation as needed, including occasional driving.
Maintain positive relationships with residents, families, visitors, and coworkers.
