Job summary

Hathorne Hill Rehabilitation is seeking an Activities Aide to plan and facilitate engaging recreational, social, educational, and therapeutic activities for residents. You will lead one-on-one, small-group, and large-group activities, tailoring interactions to individual interests and needs.

Ideal candidates have prior experience in activities or healthcare settings, with CNA experience strongly preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is desirable, and a passion for enriching resident

Qualifications

• Prior experience in activities, senior care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or healthcare (required).
• CNA experience strongly preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director with planning and implementing recreational, social, educational, and therapeutic activities for residents.
• Lead and support one-on-one, small-group, and large-group activities, encouraging participation.
• Organize games, arts and crafts, entertainment, holiday celebrations, and other resident programs.
• Provide meaningful individual engagement tailored to residents' interests and needs.
• Escort residents to activities and maintain safe, welcoming spaces.
• Maintain attendance records and activity documentation in a timely manner.
